Just wondered what make of oils do you put in your jimny?

I'm going to service mine as soon as I get back and want to put the best oil, filters and plugs in her.

So what make of oil, make/type of spark plugs and filters do you use?

I'm going to purchase everything online so it's there ready waiting for me when I get home so I can crack on.

Best place to get the filters and plugs from is the big jimny shop as the service is excellent. As for the oil i got whatever was on offer last time in the correct grade.

I used to use Genuine Suzuki oil filters as I have a thing about oil filters being of good quality and frequently changing the oil to help make the engine last as long as I can, however, my local Main Stealers has been stolen (gone bust and dissappeared over night with no warning) and the next nearest place that can get Genuine parts is 30 miles away!

So now I use Blueprint filters as they are know to be good quality pattern parts.

Oil wise I have used Halfords own brand for years and in the Jimny 10w40 - it is made by Comma, so you get Comma oil (which is good quality) for a little less.

There are many good oil brands though, such as Castrol, Carlube, Fuch etc, so as long as you buy a good brand and change it and the filter often all should be well.

I must admit I don't buy expensive air filters but will probably look to get Blueprint now, which reminds me- mine is due a new one. Often off roading creates dust more, so replacing the air filter more often is a good idea, especially if using a snorkel my mate has recently found out with his LR90.

Plugs I think mine are Denso's but it's a while in time, not miles I changed them. Again, good quality brands should all be OK. I often read on forums that a particular car does not like a particular brand of plugs, but I don;t think the Jimny is fussy.

For the diffs I use Mobilube 75w-90 gear oil expensive but worth it to protect those even more expensive ARB's.
