Get the new bracket on. It lowers and moves back the mounting point of the chassis end of the damper.
Went for a drive, makes a difference, but...
When I got back, I noticed that the drag link was twisted back, almost nipping the rubber of the new tie rod ends. I've loosened and re-adjusted everything.
If I keep getting this twisting issue, and it buggers more tie rod ends, I may as well take the damper off because it may cause more issues than it fixes!
My question then, to those of you with the damper fitted to a bracket on the drag link:
Is it mounted with the bracket facing the front of the car (so it's flat facing forward).
Thanks.

Are you doing up the nuts on the steering damper brackets to tight so the rubbers are locking up on the bracket fitted to steering rod.
This is some photos of my damper hope this helps.

Ahha!
Very very good point.
Think I've done those up to tight maybe (the nuts on the rubbers).
I'll go loosen them up.
Thanks.
