My first thoughts were a loose wheel, so checked them and everything was tight,
I put new pads on in july, done around 1.5k miles so i dont think they should of really gone yet,
There seems to be no loss in power, or vibration through pedals,
Also off topic, but i ripped my backbox off the other day, would a car go through its mot with a straight pipe?

as long as the pipe has good mounting points and dont blow and isnt to noisy i dont see why not
you may have a stone on the back plate which i think has been said already and if not removed it could damage the disc and that could also be your brake squeek

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Sounds like the wheelbearing is going.
You need to get the jack out and lift the wheel off the floor.
See if you can detect any play in the wheel by trying to pull the top out and the bottom in, then pushing the top in and pulling the bottom out. Be careful that it doesn't fall and trap your fingers.
Then take off the front wheel and have a look at the brake disk between the disk and the metal cover on the inside, take the brake pads out and clean them of any stones or grit. There is a guide on brake pad removal on the home page under information.
