        Just after some thoughts of what to do.
I've recently bought a rock lobster
My jimny has a 2" lift and 215 75 15 tyres at present.
I want to up the tyre size to 30 or 31.
Whats the best/most economic way of gaining the required height?

        cheapest is spring spacers and body lift (+ maybe caster correction bushes)
we've got 3" lift + spring spacers +massive arch trimming to get 31"s on
so 2"lift + 1 1/2" spring spacers and 2" body lift should do the same for a lot less money than a 4 1/2" spring lift

I'm torn between springs or a body lift I think. Kap do some 4" springs would my shocks be long enough?
Body lift sounds easiest though.

        body lift is an easy job. and keeps your COG lower (ie its just the weight of the body gone up 2") if you lift another 2" on the springs the weight of the body, chassis, gearbox, everything apart from the axles goes up. plus when the spring is fully compressed it would still hit the arch.

        The cheapest way is to fit a bodylift kit.
But its not the best solution. With b/l you get your mass center higher. So it will more possible to roll over.
The best thing is the lower hight with the biggest tire size you can.
Also the b/l doesn't provide you any longer travel of the axles.
In my opinion wait a little while, get some more money and go for a new suspension set up.
A new set of 3'' suspension lift with spring spacers of 1'', caster kit, panar brackets and brake lines wont
cost you more than 650 uk pounds.
A b/l kit will cost you about 150 uk pounds but it can't be compared with a full suspension set.

Ideally I'd like to add to my current set up of 2" spring lift and caster corrected arms.
I suppose I could sell the 2" get a 3" and then add the body lift. Widening the track to allow for the increase in Centre of gravity?
