Hi guys
The problem comes and goes - its been quiet for a few days and then this morning its reappeared, randomly, but the engine management light has now come on - any suggestions now? When i start up now, the rev counter starts at 2k revs and gradually falls after a second or two then it stays normal. I dont fancy booking it into the main stealer if its just a sensor i can change myself? is it likely to be the idle control jobby or the air sensor in the air box?
Any advice greatly received

Sounds more likely to be the TPS (throttle position sensor) you need find out what the code stored on the ECU is, if the MIL light is on then there will be a DTC stored.
It's the only thing to do now, find out the DTC.
Steve.
