CV usually like click click click. Check for any play in joint itself to see for sure. Test by grasping driveshaft both sides at same time and pull laterally to feel for play. if ok there shouldnt be any movement.

They only knock once,there's no click click click.
I can go on full lock either side and drive round and round and no noise,it's just when I turn the steering wheel to full lock either way there's one bang/knock and that's it.

Scrap that, knackered track rod end then!

Mine had same symptoms, it would knock once when hitting lock.

*too slow, darth beat me to it
