Body Lift was created by Knight.
Been looking around for ages and cannot find a guide to doing a body lift on a Jimny, Just wanted to find if any thing else needs to be done i.e. pipes, steering?

Done one on a pajerp before and all that was needed was to remove the fan cowling, check pipes and earth cables.

Fount the answers i was looking for on Bits 4 Vits web site below quoted from their site.

NOTE that with this kit (and most others on the market) if you want to retain your existing bumpers you'll have to make some small brackets to raise them up 2" to match the new body height - as the bumpers will still be attached to the chassis and hence 2" lower! ;) We assume most people fitting a body lift will be fitting a winch bumper anyway? ;)

ALSO NOTE (again, the same with most other kits on the market) you will need to lengthen and/or adjust your gear stick lever and your transfer stick levers to compensate for the lift. AND you may have to lengthen the steering shaft between the engine bulkhead and the steering box - you'll find some here.

We'd rather you know this up front, and that you are prepared and competent enough to carry out the above tasks! ;)

Body Lifts are a little more complicated than suspension lifts which - to the most part - are bolt-on. Saying that, this bodylift is simple and bolt-on! It's just the consequences of fitting it that are complicated! You'll also have to make sure when raising the body off the chassis to get the blocks in, that all the wires, tubes, brake pipes, fuel filler pipe, gear stick, transfer stick, and steering-box shafts have enough play in them to safely lift the body up, and back down again. You also need to make sure you do it in a safe manner, preferably with a friend to help... (take the blame!)

Well picking up a lift kit end of this month. Is there anything other than lifting it i need to do i.e. steering, pipes, earth cables?

Also what did you do about the gear and transfer levers?

Im in the same boat, Kit is in the garage ready. Just need to get the time to work out how to fit / deal with the steering, gear selectors and the fuel filler.

Have extended brake hoses ready...
