Something needs to go there. Without the rubber you'd have metal to metal contact, spring on body - would cause wear and make a racket. The spacers are really taking the place of the rubber seats - they're made of self-lubricating nylon or acetal or whatever it is, so there's little or no wear and they're quiet.

ahh Yeah, that makes sense. well i think ill just leave the rubber spring mount off then it will help make the car more level as i dont really need a full 1" lift on the drivers side. thanks for the info mick
