Driving around yesterday a mystery metallic clicking started from rear offside wheel.Thought the usual sort of thing, maybe picked up a stone in the tread or poss a nail. Stopped and inspected tyre and found nothing.
Today removed wheeel for closer inspection and nothig, removed drum no probs all clean and nothing broken.
Put wheel back on without drum and rotated to see if wheel bearing all well no probs.Put drum back and went for drive around the block and the clicking returned
Handbrake adjustment fine all brakes function fine.
Anyone any thoughts?

I think this is one of htose things you need to be there to hear really.

Can you hear or feel it if you turn the drum with the wheel off?

Have you done some work on the car or has it just started without any changes to anything?

When mine did this it was the handbrake cable hitting a balance weight on the inside of the wheel rim

Before using drills etc, just find an old socket and tap it on with a hammer onto the locking nut. Worked fine for me.
