Hello, Rayz_x, in my 1999 jimny, the horn has a permanent ground, and activates with positive.
According to what is indicated on page 8A-7-24 of service manual
Time ago I change the horrific jimny horn........
For a Bosch duotone
I do not modify the original horn electric circuit
The sound is nice ........ Looks like a " big luxury car"
Successes
Gustavo

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI fitted one of these. Incidentally it came in just a few days despite seeming to be from China. An excellent and yet very compact twin tone pneumatic horn and a great price too.
It fitted easily under the hood by the wiper motor using an existing bolt. The (two) leads to the old horn just connected to the relay that came with the horn on the switching terminals. I relocated the run of this pair of wires back towards the battery. The old horn is removed and in the spares box. I took a hot fused lead direct from the battery +ve to the relay and out from there to the horn's +ve. I ran a short earth lead from the horn's -ve to the body using the mounting bolt. I like this arrangement as it keeps wiring runs to a minimum and is simple.
Result is a very respectable twin tone horn that fits in the small available space and soooooo quick to fit.

Yeah, I am used to my US train horns on my Pajero so the titty little Jimny horn was the first thing to go for me too.

Hey all, I have just fitted one of these to the jim. All I did was fit the 12v+ to the new horn but where the new horn earth's via the body I just chopped the circle connector and replaced it with a spade connecter and plugged this into the earth point from the original circuit. Hope this make sence and helps

My horn died after being dunked under water too many times. I replaced it with a car horn from my local motor factors and it's far more manly.
I've also got a Klaxon wired separately to a push button under the steering wheel. It's a much more friendly horn that you can use without fear of causing road rage!
