As a long shot, had you moved it? As in just moved it off the drive or by a few feet?
A few different cars suffer with flooding when only moved a short distance. The cold start cycle runs richer and if you shut it off before its had time to get further into the cycle.

I had the same problem once and it was exactly what McJimny said, my jimny was 3 years old when it did it. I had moved the car briefly on my drive then tried to start it a little later but would not catch. I used the suzuki recovery and he told me it was a common problem. The cure to get it going was turning it over with your foot on the accelerator. It sounds like the opposite cure but it worked!

Normally it happens when it's been left for a while so if I've come out of work or first thing in the morning. Funnily enough Jo King the dealer doesn't want to know either. If you could actually get hold of Jimny's now I'd have rejected it and bought another by now, but I hear they still don't have any!

It does sound like a battery problem on the face of it, if you're only doing short or infrequent journeys your taking more out of the battery than you're putting in. As i suggested above if there's a weak or dead cell its getting enough go in it eventually to start. I hope for your sake that its a simple fix.
I'm sure that you can go to an independent garage now anyway and as long as they use genuine parts your warranty is unaffected.
Have you got another Suzuki dealer nearby? My local one is in Peterborough but if i got no joy there my next nearest is in Boston so while not convenient its not a million miles away.
I'm not fans of Suzuki dealers myself. The last encounter was when i bought my jimny, i looked at a red 55 plate. The dealer couldn't have been less interested in selling it, his attitude alone put me off buying it. If he was like that at that stage how would he be if i had to take it back?
A friend ordered a brand new swift on release a few years ago from the same dealer, she got dicked about from the outset. Delivery date kept getting moved then the spec wasn't available then colour etc etc..... eventually they told her it had arrived "in the country" but still couldn't tell her when it was due in the dealer. She cancelled the order after a few heated discussions and bought a mazda instead!
