Looks great on that Jimny
Is it welded directly onto the chassis?
is 3" suspension lift enough for 31" tyres? Or should I go with 4" suspension lift? If possible I'd avoid bodylift.
When installing 3-4" suspension lift, I need to adjust castor angle, right? would new bushes be enough, or should I install new castor correcting radius arms?

I have a 3" lift and 1" spring spacers and castor correction bushes .... they do help a bit and are in my opinion the minimum recommendation after a lift above 2"....
Radios arms would be the best idea but $$$

Thanks
I can see you have some other transfer box fitted.
I've read something about installing a SJ413 transfer box instead of the standard Jimny. How much lower geared is the SJ box and how difficult is it to install?

not much as a standard; mine is what's called a rocklobster that is built from taking parts from an SJ410 and SJ413 and mixing them ... it ends as a 4.16
It was build by rockwatt, he is a member here so you can send him a PM for details

Great, thanks
Is that the only way of getting af lower-geared Jimny?
I know that Offroad Armoury sells a crawler box, but thats around 1000 GBP, way to expensive for my taste
Perhaps I should look for a Jimny with Automatic Gearbox

My solution to lower gearing - which is complicated, but I had all the bits - was to use a Vitara gear and transfer box, cut the bottom off the transfer and feed that in to an SJ 410 transfer box. This combo reduces high range by 1.6:1 and low range on both boxes is lower than a rock-lobster. Good if you want to run 37" tyres, as I do.
Te combo works very well. If you run a 1.6 Vitara engine, the conversion is dead easy. If you want to run the 1.3 it requires a bit of adaption.
