A 2002 Jimny should have an engine driven viscous coupled clutch fan, spinning whenever the engine is, no switch on or off.

In the Ignis (same engine, but mounted transversely) the electric fan comes on at 97,5°C.
Like on the Jimny, the thermostat begins to open 80 - 84°C and fully opens 95 - 97°C.
