Let me preface this by saying I would love bfg muds but they don't make them small enough.
So that leaves the roadcruza ra3200. Budget friendly but is it well enough made to balance up easily. Next is the maxxis trepador radial m8060, more expensive but probably better made but classed as more of.an extreme type than a mud. Also very sticky so good for rocks bad for mileage as little as 20k allegedly? Then there's the Gripmax mud rage which as a name is awesome but there's precious little information on them and they are something I have only found this time round of looking which is not entirely inspiring. Finally the comforser cf300 which I don't dislike at all, also comforser seem to be a fairly well regarded brand in general and are likely candidates. I don't want remould tyres.
Oh and for reference these are mostly for looking cool parked in my drive and also to remind me that in spite of myself a jimny is not for going round corners at warp speed.
This decision is sending me mad.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure!

I have Maxxis Worm Drives for every day use and Insa Turbo Special Tracks 2 for mud and soft stuff.
The Special Tracks are something else, massive amounts of grip, in my Gen 4 a bit more noise on the road and a big hit in fuel economy, but off-road on mud and soft stuff, unbeatable.
I know you won’t like them as they are a remold.

I fitted balance beads in my Special Tracks, the garage that fitted them said balance is not required below 50 mph and above the beads do a good job at smoothing out the ride.
I have to say they work fine, no balance issue’s whatsoever with beads.

These will be staying on the car simply because I have a second set of wheels on the yellow one and changing wheels isn't something I have patience for. Don't get it wrong I like the look of the fake simex and acknowledge their ability off road but even with the smooth power delivery of the automatic and the safety net of traction control i just worry that they are too slippery on tarmac, whereas something like the comforser cf3000 has had at least some development put into its road manners?

Interesting find, comforser and roadcruza are owned by the same company. So one might reasonably suggest that the manufacturing process is similar between the two and therfore one might also conclude that the deciding factor is is which tread pattern one finds preferable. It's also of some comfort that these 2 are different from the radars I currently have. Interesting.
