That is interesting, being the lcv it has filament lights and they are good but I was thinking about putting a set of ring 200% in the same as temeraire because on dip they are a less blue colour but on full they are almost like having an extra light bar.
As for satnav and more generally the infotainment system I'm that tied to using my phone for nav and Bluetooth music that if I had one with the touchscreen I would have replaced it with the poverty spec one with the buttons that the yellow one came with anyway. But that said it is highly unlikely I will get lost enough on my way between home and either work to need a nav in the yellow one anyway.

I've only owned a Gen4 so can't compare to the earlier generations, but for me the looks of the Gen4 are one of its strongest points. I'd have never bought a Gen3 as they look too 'generic 90s Japanese car' for me, whereas the 4 is an absolutely iconic bit of design.
The Gen4 definitely has its flaws, most of which can be addressed with mods, but some remain - here's my list of those I can remember.
- AEB is the biggest annoyance, but not a Jimny or Suzuki issue, just a legislative one. Everything modern has to have it, it sucks. At least you're able to permanently disable the lane keeping, even if you do have a permanently lit warning light as a result.
- TPMS drama queen - maximum panic and all the warning lights when 1psi under pressure. I've actually got a TPMS delete gizmo in case I ever need it, but overall I find TPMS useful enough to keep it.
- Driving position/seats are ok, but as someone with long legs I've always found the seat squab a bit unsupportive under the thighs and would have loved an adjustable reach steering column. Still contemplating spending a zillion pounds on a brand new Recaro drivers seat.
- LED headlights are too good, I get flashed by other drivers all the time, despite having had them checked at each service.
All the other minor flaws I've already fixed.
- No one-touch up/down on all windows - fixed with aftermarket doodad.
- Door open beep - fixed by disconnecting plug
- No variable intermittent wipe - fixed with Swift wiper stalk
- Static shocks when getting in/out - fixed with Escape Gear canvas seat covers
- No digital speed display, no temp or voltage gauge - fixed with OBD2 display
- No volume knob - fixed with new head unit

The thing is, my car has had two services at the main dealers and an MOT since then and it hasn’t been commented on at all.
I might have asked this before, but which OBD display did you buy? I did think about one, but there seemed to be mixed views on whether they would work with a UK Jimny Gen 4.

My headlamps were set correctly, but I got flashed at all of the time, so I just dropped them down a bit, so they didn’t dazzle. They still illuminate the road ahead very well on dip, in terms of distance and light level, probably better than most vehicles I have owned/driven and there is no difference at all on main beam.- LED headlights are too good, I get flashed by other drivers all the time, despite having had them checked at each service.

You should be fine with LED lights properly adjusted. They are easy to adjust yourself too. Never really been flashed in mine in over 5 1/2 years and 40,000 miles. The cut off is very good in the beam profile, so you can easily see if your lights are too high and shining in the faces of oncoming traffic. You might just need to point them a little more to the left...

Reading this thread it's very similar to the old/new Defender thread over on the LR forum.
Except that the new Jimny is a lot more like the old model, than the new Defender is to the old one.
Personally l think the new Jimny is a masterpiece and l wish Land Rover had done a similar thing with the old Defender.
There's almost nothing l don't like about our 2020 Jimny SZ5, the satnav is a bit clunky (although you can mirror a phone which solves the problem) and it's not full time 4wd.
The ride quality is remarkable for a small live axle 4x4. lt deals with poor road surfaces much better than an old Defender, and the steering is also very good for the type of vehicle.
We've travelled all over the country in ours and had no issues at all, it's a bit thirsty for such a small vehicle but again only to be expected.
You have to be careful with the part time 4wd. l had it in 4wd to get on/off a muddy verge, coming off the verge l had to do a U-turn, l moved the lever to disengage the 4wd but as the wheels were on lock it stalled in the middle of a busy road and would not move. l couldn't get it out of 4wd and it wouldn't move. Eventually l straightened the front wheels and then it went into 2wd, fortunately there was nothing coming or we could have been in trouble.
