Does anybody know where I can get a replacement radiator for a 2005 Jimny AUTOMATIC from? The one with the ATF cooler on the bottom. Loads of sites listing radiators for manuals, can find any for the auto one.
Thanks in advance.

If you give Martin in the shop in the top banner a message with your vehicle details he will be able to quote for you.

Ironically, when I was looking to replace my radiator a few years ago I could only find one with a cooler.

I entertained the thought of using the trans cooler for an engine oil cooler but never got round to it. Fittings are still blocked off to this day.

Or, you could get a cheap auxillary trans cooler and mount it to the front of a standard rad.

It should be noted that the "transmission cooler" in the radiator is more of a heat exchanger than it is a cooler, especially in colder climates - the heat goes from coolant to transmission fluid, when the fluid is cold and from fluid to coolant when the fluid is hot.

Automatic transmissions are more efficient when at operating temperature and use two methods to "warm up", the first is the heat exchanger and the second is "converter churn" - if you've ever noticed that they take longer to shift into "top gear" when cold, this is the reason why.

Using an external cooler in place of the heat exchanger is not only less efficient at keeping the transmission cool, it will increase your fuel consumption.
