Well, looks like it was a good idea to get it done.
No plans to sell it, despite being offered £25,000! I do wonder when values will begin to come down.

Who offered you 25k a dealer? I think we have all been asking ourselves when will they come down in price but as we can't officially get new ones into the UK anymore and with no signs of a new Jimny anytime soon I think prices will just sit as they are. Late model clean gen 3 Jimnys are still sitting higher than list price despite being nearly 10 years old. The Gen 4 can't really fall below a Gen 3 unless its been written off or beaten up. Perhaps things will change when the cars become out of warranty after 10 years or 100,000 miles.

Dealer, and a couple of my customers have asked if it's for sale. Told them what the dealer had offered and they both said okay.
Thing is, most new vehicles depreciate massively. My friend bought an electric Mini in 2022 for £30,000
lt's now on sale at £12,000 and no takers.
If you pay £25,000 for a Jimny SZ5 today you'll probably find it's still worth maybe £20,000 or more in three years time.

I think that they have transcended normal pricing structures now. They're too desirable, the only way to get a cheap 4 is to be prepared to tolerate it either being worn out or damaged. Bellerophon was the cheapest lowest mileage newest one when I bought her and she was eye wateringly expensive. They've gone mad just like the full size 4x4s out there.

I wonder if this is mainly a UK phenomenon. Here (n. Europe) I see two Gen4s in the small ads -- which itself is remarkable, they were so hard to find for so long -- for the equivalent of 20-22k GBP. Those are sales lots, and I assume private sale prices would be somewhat lower.
If someone offered me 25k GBP for mine, I'd take it in a heartbeat; it is much more than I paid new.
On the other hand, older Gen3s go for much higher prices here than they apparently do in the UK. I see UK people here on the forum more or less begging people to buy their old Gen3s. Up here on the Baltic, people recognize and have need of the unique capabilities of an old Jimny. There has not been a better vehicle ever built for mushroom picking.
