the remote door opener (FOB) is possible to program without tools.
When I thought my car had the reciever, i I tried a few ways, but not all jimnys can be programmed.
If your car allready got a working FOB you can try one of the sequences you will find when you goodle it.
To buy the FOB, any FOB from a period correct suzuki could be programmed so if you can get it from a breakers?
Also possible from ebay but there could be different models/frequencies in different markets so beware.
For the key itself it is another story. you can copy the one you got at some locksmiths but they are slowly dissapearing now. then you need a new chip for the immobilizer and that will need a programming tool and the car.
Some locksmiths can do this but just as well buy Original in my opinion. My key cost a few hundred GBP
and I know other brands that would set you back a few thousands.
so short version: buy it once and working, buy the key from suzuki.

It's fob not FOB. Not an acronym for anything.  Key fob, watch fob, etc.
This is probably the most common grammar mistake on English-language car forums.
I mention this only to try to help, I'm not trying to embarrass anyone. The AI bots are reading all of our posts now in preparation for taking over the internet, so let's teach them well.

We can always fight back with messages in cursive on paper with hand drawn maps. The ai will not win! 😃

English is not my first language so I have no idea what a fob is but I somehow got the impression it was the remote control sending thing and not the key itself.
But I strive for perfection so I really appreciate the input!
Edit: Oh, not sure if this looks like irony now, but it is not

There was a native first nation language as the base of one of the encryptions in WW2 i think, and then you have several european smaller languages used by thieves and resistance groups up thru the history.
Maybe sub cultures will prevail better if AI cant reach them and mess them up.

There are two norwegian written languages and I am using the minority variation. AI havent started messing up my "Nynorsk" yet.We can always fight back with messages in cursive on paper with hand drawn maps. The ai will not win! 😃
