Hey folks!

What are your suggestions for a stereo upgrade?

I'm interested in a compact amp and subwoofer and a couple of speakers. Stock sound is....tragic! Not too keen on removing rear panels and seats to install rear speakers - unless that's highly advised!

I bought the car with a no-name android head unit that seems okay. It has aux in, amp ctrl wire which is labelled, so installing should be fairly straightforward?

Jimny came with a defa engine warmer system. Turned out it was an amp-parasite, constantly draining 200-300mA - anyone else experienced this with older defa systems? I simply disconnected and removed it, seeing as I really have no need for it. The drain dropped to 60mA for a short while then down to a negligible 0.05mA ignition off.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm running a Sony 4x100 head unit into 4 at the time very good speakers 2 of which I need to relocate as I'm putting my rear seats back in and an 8 inch powered under seat sub. It's not a display/pa system but in the car it bumps quite hard

I have this Pioneer head unit fitted to mine.
It does CarPlay/Android Auto (wirelessly with a dongle), DAB, CD & DVD and a reversing camera too.
