Whatcha. I have just seen a jimny with audio control buttons which I remember a thread about on here. What I don't remember is asking if with the use of a suitable wheel from say a gv with cruise is it possible to make that work also as in does the jimny especially the last of the 3s have the control software for cruise built-in, I know there are after market options which are a bit clunky and seemingly aimed at the earlier manual cars. I'm just interested in if suzuki left it latent in the ECU as it was being developed for the 4s?

Some JDM Jimnys came with buttons on the steering wheel, I've fitted one to mine (2008) but I need to swap out the steering column in order to fit the updated clock spring (one from an updated Swift will work too). My original plan was to use Vitara XL7 one, but that's since broken.
I imagine the next piece in the puzzle is using a patch lead to get it to interface with the stereo.

This is around the Swift steering wheel.
The Swift Steering wheel can be added to give the extra controls BUT behind the steering wheel is a "clock spring" which is used to get the electical signal through into the car. You have to identify the correct version of the clock spring to meet your needs which is where a challenge applies.
