Howdy, I have a 96 JA22 and need to replace the king pin assembly. Can I use the same king pin assembly from a JB23 model to complete the task?

Not sure what you mean by assembly..

But the kingpins are not the same and the shaft housing are not the same.

But the bearing is the same.
30302J2 and do use the real KOYO ones like in the shop here or SKF/FAG.. I think the ones from KOYO now got some extra seals that was not on the earlier ones like the SJ.

The difference when mounting is that adding the round shims to a JB23 will add bearing load and reduce glap.
on a JA22 adding the square shims will increase glap.
The shims are not interchangable between these models.
