Hello guys
i have a 2002 model and the steering wheel is awful as i am the 4th owner of the car ..My friend gave ne an aftermarket steering wheel without air bag .. So my question is that fitting the new steering wheel with leaving the air bag cable unplugged will make any problem .. i know that the air bag light will come up on the dashboard and i dont care when mot i will put the old one back but is there any other problem and accidental blow off from other air bags or anything else ?

Put an air bag plug (aka resistor) in the plug, then you won’t even get the air bag warning light on, as it will fool the system in to thinking the air bag is fitted.

When I removed the rear seat belts the warning light came on. With info from this forum I fitted specifically made 2.2 ohm resistors into the wiring harness where they originally connected to the belt mechanism and all is well. The warning light comes on with the ignition and goes out 4 seconds after start up.
