We have the biggest NOCO for our LandRover D2, and the smallest NOCO for our Jimny. Both vehicles are Automatic, and the NOCOs have saved the day several times over the years. Incidentally these Jump Packs use the 18650 Lithium_Ion cells, the same as in Testa Battery Packs, all 6,000 of them.

At some point after my previous response, I got around to buying a jump pack, a Noco GB20, (500A) which currently lives in the back of my Jimny,
To test the GB20 I swapped out the battery in my 98 2.0 GV for a dead battery that had been sitting in the garage for almost two years, it actually had more life than I expected as the dash lights did come on when I turned the key, but of course, it wouldn't crank the engine - I hooked up the Noco, pushed the button and turned the key - engine started.
I was suitably impressed, I plan on picking up a couple more jump packs, most likely the 1000A Noco GB40 for the larger engined vehicles.

I thought Tesla used some kind of proprietary Li-Po batteries similar to the type of used in phones not Li-ion cells like power tools?

Apparently I was wrong. It's now a lithium iron phosphate type whatever that means. Very clever stuff none the less.

Something else strikes me with battery cars, if you can reasonably expect 7 or 8 good years out of the battery before it's dead and a new ish second hand one is currently 9 grand on eBay so way more new from Tesla at what point do these cars become disposable, as in if the replacement battery is worth more than the refreshed car...?

Yes, I can easily see a dead battery scrapping the car. With the way Tesla handle spares and repairs, pretty much any major component failing would make repairing it impractical.
