Light Bar was created by ColinTheViking
So I've trimmed the bumper of my 2007 Jimny and so my spotlights are gone. I was thinking of somehow connecting the wire that clips off from the passenger side spotlight and using that to connect to a light bar, this way I will be able to use the same switch in the cabin. Does anybody know how I would go about doing this and what light bar would be suitable?

Hi Colin, I would think it would prudent to use the original foglight feed to run a relay to a new fused supply from the battery, to the lightbar..

I dont know much about electronics so I haven't really looked into it that much. What is the normal way of installing a light bar?

I have in stores a 20 inch light bar for Dreadnaught should I ever get the urge to fit it. My idea was to put it in the centre mesh recess above the number plate much like many other people have.

Simply connect the 2 wires from the spotlight to the 2 wires on the light bar. You will need to cut off the old connector and crimp on some new connectors. Insulated spade or bullet connectors are the simplest choice. Make sure the wires that powered the other spot light are tucked away safely and insulated to prevent corrosion. The original fog lights are halogen, which draw a lot more power than LED, so the supply is more than adequate for a light bar, and the supply is already fused for safety. No need to add a relay!
