As Covid-19 Lockdown continues, I've noted just how little petrol I've bought over the past month, how little mileage the odometer is showing and a few noises from the rusty brakes when I do drive it round to the shops for essential supplies. In the area, we have folk finding their cars won't start due to dead batteries, brakes seized on after sitting static for weeks and cars not travelling far enough to warm up the engine or recharge the battery. There are folk paying out for road tax, insurance and loans/leases and seeing little or no benefits for the outlay. On the other hand it all pales into insignificance where human life is at stake - so let's stick with the official Covid-19 guidance (and regulations) and maybe we can get back to normal fairly soon? Wishing all you forum members well.

Yes, thank you Bob, and I'd like to echo those sentiments; two colleagues at work have gone down with this, one was at JFK airport and he he had to sit it out in the USA for a few weeks but he's pulled through and should be back by now.
On Tuesday night, a close colleage on my shift is now at home and although not formally diagnosed is coughing for England and was struggling to breathe and did the 111 thing - medics came out and did a lot of tests and left him Oxy.
I'm in touch with him by text and yesterday's message read something like "I'm utterly exhausted, I can't sleep, I feel drained. I wish this thing would either kill me or f*@% off".
He's only in his thirties,
Slightly worrying is that I had to work with him on Monday and Tuesday, and the nature of the work on aircraft is that keeping one's distance is not always easy.

On the bright side, the shifts at work have been split up so we are in less, and Im now getting about 3 weeks to the gallon
