Went to the shop this morning, drove fine.

Started it up to come home, turned over slower than normal, but started.

ABS, charging light, 4wd, and lo ratio lights all on.

Wipers very slow.

Got the four miles home ok.

Belt still on and spinning alternator. Is the alternator goosed or is it something else, given that all the other lights are on?

I did an engine swap two weeks ago, but has been spot on until now. This is my first jimny and ive only had it three weeks!

Any help much appreciated

Ed

Hi
Check any connectors you disturbed during the engine swap, in particular earths / engine earth.
Check you off load battery voltage - above 12.4 and you are ok. Engine running should be above 14V if the alternator is working.
Sounds like a bad earth / connector to me at this time.
