I have had my Jimny since October but haven't been offroad yet, that is until Reason2Doubt suggested a few gentle routes after I posted my Slayley 4x4 track experience (didn't get very far).
All I can say is R2D is the man, he gave me three routes and had a go at the first one on Sunday morning, from the A696 to Ogle in Northumberland (about 6 miles from where I live). I was so pleased that I took a video, don't suppose it is anything special to you guys, but I was well chuffed and we all have to start somewhere.
The misses saw it and after been a bit cool about offroad and the BigJimny meet up, she wants a go on the Ogle run now, so that is a plus, might go this weekend.

That's great!
Thats the sort of gentle stuff I'd like to find around my area (it's my daily driver so it has to be pretty tame for me to go off the blacktop unfortunately)

GREAT video! Looks like you had a good time, doesn't have to be extreme to enjoy a good 'laning trip
Keep the videos coming!

Great video, enjoyed watching. I've never done any green lanes so it's nice to see what they are like.
Have fun
