On the way home from work yesterday I stopped off at a supermarket. As I was loading some shopping into the boot, I felt a strange evil hateful presence behind me. I turned around to see a middle aged woman with a shopping trolley & two children glaring at me, the woman said... I LOVE YOUR CAR. IT'S MY DREAM CAR. Turned away shouted at the kids then walked away.

Maybe not that odd - perhaps fairly standard procedure. When we park up our Kinetic Yellow Jimny it invariably attracts all sorts of comments from total strangers. All of them are very positive about it, some of them know far more about the technical spec than we know as owners and some of them are very lonely and want to stand for hours outside ASDA discussing the rarity of G4 Jimnys or the fact that they are No.47 on the local dealers waiting list. We have had a random woman wanting to see how her dog would fit in the back, a rather harmless but intense male discussing fuel consumption and assorted folk staring in the windows when its parked up. Not a car for those of you who like to travel around in stealth mode.

I had a car park experience also. As i drove into my local supermarket I spotted a Gen3 Jimny so i parked my Gen4 next to it not realising the owner was just getting out. The gentleman stood still, Looked at me like he was going to kill me then stomped off. After several minutes of bafflement It occurred to me "Ah, That was the look of a man on the waiting list"
I've also had many chats with people in car parks who have come over about the Jimmers. It's quite a nice feeling to be in a club of cars that are rare and unusual and attract so much attention.
