Questions on keys pop up on here from time to time, so just for information, I thought I'd post a few lines on the subject of duplicates....
.... recently I acquired yet another Jimny, which, sadly, came with only one key...not the remote version.
Took it to Timpsons this afternoon...two options are available, one which requires the car to be present (£69), and one which doesn't (£59).
Fortunately for me, mine was the latter !!
Whilst I was in the shop, I enquired about the availability of a replacement remote key.
Most cities have at least one branch which can do this, the procedure does require the car to be present, but, contrary to popular belief, the process is NOT limited to Suzuki main dealers...
...the chip/ transponder usually has to be ordered, then programmed to the car in question....
....and this is the best bit...at approximately half the cost of a dealer replacement !!
Just saying......!!!!!!

Alternatively if you're possessed of a best friend who happens to be a locksmith...
I don't know how you will get on with timpson just cutting the key blank but Ebay has some very cheap options if you have still got the electronic bits of the key. Can't comment on the durability yet though but the blank is only about 4 quid.

I bought one of those (for Gen3). Must be 2 1/2 years old with daily use, all good.
