Hi Everyone,
I was hoping to seek clarification of the type of thread in the four of the tie rod ends that make up the steering component.
Would I be correct in assuming that two of the four are reverse threads?
I am looking at replacing all off them in one go rather than removing them individually and confirming their thread.

Yes you are correct. One left hand threaded and one right hand threaded per steering bar. The bigjimny store has them at a good price.

As Lambert confirms, they are opposite hand at each end of the rods, so rotating the rod moves both ends out or in at the same time, lengthening or shortening the assembly.

If they were the same hand thread, rotating the rod would just move it off one joint and onto the other, and it wouldn't adjust anything.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Also you may need new nuts for the end's
I have always had to cut the old nuts off

I'll second that about the nuts - very worthwhile replacing them at the same time as the rod ends - mine seemed okay until I tried to turn them several turns - only then did I find the threads were shot.
