Crazy times... was created by sniper
Some issues in the family have gifted me a huge loss of personal time and sadly, I will not be able to attend the meet.
Some Jimny Stuff..
Re-insured with Adrian Flux at £284 fully comp. Declaring all modifications at the tender age of 52. Greenlane cover as standard and no issue with trialing or comp safari. Second time with them and very professional again.
The gearbox rebuild has proven to be trouble free, ( M&T Transmissions in Sheffield R7ME rebuilt for £720.)
Wet weather is proving tiresome and keeping me off the lanes. It also makes the car a bit of a handful, the Quaife ATB is a great thing and makes the cars backend breakaway very predictable and catchable, BUT it does cause it.... in tight T junctions it is almost impossible to accelerate with any gusto, Spins the inside rear and that spins the outside. Tail slide like an old escort..... Embarrassing !!! The problem is that it is so smooth that you don't know until the slip is there already....
Jack onlyjack is going strong in the RTV trials but again I haven't been able to join him, please have a look at P&DLRC facebook pages, ignore the fact it's a Landrover club, all makes are welcome in the off road club side of the set up. If you can get along and show some support for a fellow Jimny driver that would be great. You may like it so much that you want to have a go..... only £25 to join..
Life takes it's twists and turns, hopefully I will be able to make the "Northern BigJimny Meet" when someone organises one.....

Was beginning to wonder how you're doing. Hope your fortunes improve, but things have a habit of coming right eventually.

Chin up matey! Glad things sound like they are improving tho
What are you up to on Halloween? Im plotting a little run out for the day
Im up for a Northern Jimny meet, but the current monster meet clashes with lakes laning and is 6+ hrs each way and many £ in fuel, hotel, butties, etc to attend. Sort of wish I was going with that many great Jimnys going, but its just too far for now. Further North next year please!
