Nah - I dont see them as a 'Big Brother' thing - more a weapon to use against skinflint insurers that won't/don't want to cough up in a claim. Also I regard them as a way of protecting my wife and myself from 'crash for cash' scumbags.

Yeah I've seen quite a few reports of crash for crash antics so that's one good point for it plus always helpful to help someone else out if needed, another plus is the off roading
