Anyone tried the hill descent button in anger yet?
Only one I’ve ever used was on a Range Rover Evoque where you could control the speed from the dashboard display.

I have and it's a fixed speed descent with no adjustment. Seemed to work fine, with lots of BRRRRRRRRBBBBBBB noises from the ABS :lol:

I have used it, it is excellent once you get used to it. The speed does change 6mph in 4-wheel high and 3mph in 4-wheel low*. You only need a very light touch on the throttle for it to turn off though, so keep you foot away when going down hill.
* I think it is 6 and 3mph, might be 8 and 4?

That's cool, didn't realise it was slower in 4 low, nor that it turned off with the throttle! Definitely useful to know :woohoo:

Thanks Soeley, I'm learning too. I've had no reason to use it, but perhaps if it snows...

I had a chance to use it whilst in north wales, taking on a steep forestry track decent. I had it in 4L at the time and felt it was very good, at no point did I feel anxious or unstable. As gadget has stated, the noise emitted from the ABS module is comical! Sounds like the old cartoon spring noise ‘dddooooooiiiinnggggggg’
