Not long till we hit the 6000 mile mark - another boring post that confirms the Suzuki quality control team are miles ahead of some other well known 4X4 manufacturers. Nothing has shaken loose, fallen off, failed or caused an unscheduled visit to the dealer.

Biggest concern is those rubber floor mats which I don't rate in terms of their robustness. Looks like they will be the first components to fail.

I'm thinking of swapping out my 2013 Zook for a new one.

Have any 2018/19 owners experienced any of the steering shudder/wobble so characteristic of the earlier Zooks? Or is the slightly different geometry in the 2018/19 build resistant to it?
Also, from what I read the stud pattern/spacing is the same as the earlier Jimny's; just out of interest has anyone swapped over their old A/T or mud tyres?

Thanks for your thoughts :)

Zero steering judder or wobble on mine in 2500 miles, that's running on A/T tyres. Comes fitted with a steering damper as standard, so hopefully death wobble is a thing of the past.

I experienced wobble at 80kph, same as the old one, with badly balanced tyres.

The wheels and tyres from the older models fit fine. The standard size is a bit bigger on the gen4.

I have the wheels from my first Suzuki, an SJ410, on my Gen4 with tyres I took of my Gen3.

With the exception of the steering damper nothing has changed to make the G4 less susceptible to death wobble. It's an inherent issue with all solid front axle vehicles, any make, not just Suzuki. A new vehicle will not suffer, but as steering components wear then it possibility of wobble increases. The damper will assist to mask the problem, but eventually even the damper will not cover shot kingpin bearings etc.
Don't get hung up on the possibility though, just maintain the vehicle and enjoy.

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)
