It is something to do with the mobile phone network losing the route to my provider.

IF IT AINT BROKE, KEEP FIXING IT UNTIL IT IS

All mostly okay here but I have had the site run unfeasibly slow in the past - that seems to be all sorted out now.
I say 'mostly' okay because the only peculiarity remaining is that I have to log in twice (computer)....
Every time I log in, nothing happens. So I immediately go through the process again and the second time always works.
Weird and a bit annoying but I can live with it

Yes i suffer with the login on PC have to do it twice
@ Max next time your're asked to login
choose the option under the big jimny logo
login/logout by using this route i only need to login ounce
but tbh it takes around the same time to hit the login twice

There must be a ghost in the system!
Since mentioning the logging in twice phenomenon in my previous post. I find I can now log in at the first attempt! This has never happened in months!
Bizarre :S

This site runs on the Joomla system. In the last year, Joomla has had issues with the session manager. Session manager is what recognises people and keeps their sessions alive. The issues are both around setting up the sessions (having to log in twice), maintaining the sessions (session has been lost halfway through posting a long post) or deleting old sessions (huge number of session open in the database causing the site to run slow)
However only a very limited number of Joomla implementations have session issues, sadly my implementation is one of them (and you will recognise the symptoms listed above).
As so few sites suffer. it is very hard to find whats wrong. Also this is possibly one of the older Joomla sites around (since 2007) so may have some old obscure code lurking around that new sites do not have.
