Custom fender flares / wheel arches (for large wheels)

I accidentally stumbled upon one Chinese manufacturer who makes custom ABS wheel arches (or fender flares as they call them) for Suzuki Jimny.

The manufacturer is STR4x4 ( www.str4x4.com ).

However, you will not find anything related to Jimny on their web site.

On the other hand, their wheel arches for Jimnys are advertised on Alibaba and some other places as well.

Here is the page on Alibaba

And here is manufacturer's Facebook page for this product (more good pictures)

Now, my questions are:

Does anyone see any benefit for having these wheel arches apart from being able to fit much larger wheels (and potentially to look mean)?

It appears to me that it is necessary to drill new holes in the body panels in order to secure these arches to the body.

Also, I wonder how would these arches look with the original front and rear bumpers still in place. It appears to me that the arches are "too short" (they don't go all the way to meet up with the front and the rear bumper). I suppose it would look ugly then.

Also, what about the plastic sills below the doors?

Any other thoughts from others?

EDIT:
Would it make any sense (even from the aesthetic point of view) to install these wheel arches on an otherwise "stock" Jimny?

Thanks bu no thanks. They aren't even finished properly. Was the designer even looking at the page when they drew those?

These are the ones i went for after deciding i didnt like the look of the ones mentioned:

ala-plast.com/cz/off-road-4x4/jimny.html

has to be said that they are not much wider than the standard ones and dont help with mud up the sides of the car at all, extra bits have been riveted on since to stop that problem.

I would think on a standard jimny they would be pointless, only really any use if the track is wider than standard due to spacers or large tyres.

I've seen the kit & Im waiting for someone here to take the plunge.

Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.

By pictures I assume they are fender flares for KEI version, they're probably just as wide as european (ie wide) version and don't really do anything aside from aestethic difference.

But I like the look of them.
