My Jimny needed a bit of work so I stripped most of interior and exterior and after some welding and a whole lot of rust-proofing (anti-rust solution, base paint, paint, bitumen) I noticed something in the left corner of my boot.

What is this sensor? It is connected to a box that seems to be glued in a bit left of the sensor, under the cover.

Looks like a small speaker, possibly for an alarm?

Its in a similar place to the wiring for rear speakers, but doubt its big enough for that!

Hm. Is it possible that that's where "beep" comes from when engaging 4L?

It's either parking sensors sounder or indicator sounder for towing.
