Hi Liam,
Good news on the engine
That kenwood is exactly the same one I have in J999MNY. I needed to buy an adapter harness for it to fit as well as a windscreen stick on DAB aerial. The DAB isnt great when your on the move and needs retuned regularly.
Also there was some sort of power to the DAB aerial that needed turned on in the headunit settings, but wasnt obviously labelled.
The Kenwood unit is good. Comes with various wiring bits and fits in easily (though does have aforementioned gap around the edges). The display and button colour can be changed to match the red/white of the jimny at night too

The engine will be putting a bit more heat into the exhaust so your CAT will be the next victim. Check its not leaking from the manifold to cat join. The fumes come into the car when stationary, which isnt good
The Kenwood and all the other bits came from Halford's. Bit under £200 all together I think, but that was nearly 2 years ago. I would imagine the harness adapter could be found easily by searching ebay/amazon/etc for 'ISO wiring adapter for Jimny'. The Kenwood uses the industry wide standard ISO plugs, so you just need a Jimny harness for that. Failing that Halfords website or caraudiodirect.co.uk are worth a try.
The stick on DAB aerial requires 'phantom power', which needs to be set to on or off in the Kenwoods menu. Default is off and like that you get nothing. On works pretty well for BBC stations and then its variable depending on where you are for anything else. I generally just plug the phone in (or bluetooth it) and use BBC sounds app or Apple music.
I ran the (supplied) microphone up the A pillar and headlining to put it on top of the rear view mirror. That works well for handsfree calling. Kenwood can connect to two phones at once, which is handy if your a drug dealer  :silly:

Good news on the cat there then!
Dab aerial yes just pull the plastic trim off the side of the windscreen inside. Its got two plastic tongues that go into the A pillar to locate and hold it there.
The DAB aerial has a sticky bit that has to be stuck onto metal bodywork as well as the aerial itself to the glass so it has to go right by the edge or top to do that. If you need to pop the roof lining down a bit then unscrew the sunvisors and mirror to get a bit of access to top mount it.
This is the one I use... www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/st...-antenna-smb-dab-aa1
