Admire the lovely countryside & the green lanes which you obviously get to make the most.
just bought a jimny & have sorted out a service & towbar & new rear box & is going really well on the roads - looking forward to some winter weather to see how it feels in snow and ice & living at the coast must try and get off road.
thanks for encouragement from big jimny motorists

Offroad, the best I have ever used. Onroad, better than you would think. Grip level is fine even in the wet.
But as for noise, bloody hell they are loud as soon as you are 30 mph+

reminds me of some of the rear boxes guys put on real beetles - kind of raw but wonderful at the same & from what you guys are saying with decent tyres the jimny is as good as a landrover off road.
my tyres are in need of replacement soon but in the meantime determined to try and get off road somewhere - we have friends who have a farm in co Antrim - they are bound to have a field we can mess around in & will report back - roll on Christmas & happy motoring

If I am having a proper day I head over your way or west to Eastbourne or Crowborough.

If you want a run out sometime, let me know.

Yeah I am very lucky to have one opposite my house, but as I normally go out in my own I have only driven lanes that I have walked or cycled before so haven't ventured on to any of the tougher looking lanes yet. It would be great to head out sometime.
