hi everyone...
so i have just bought my first ever jimny ... a 54 plate jimny mode....to be used as a 3rd car , bit of fun.
coming from mazda mx5's....had 3 as fun cars ( 2 x mk3 and a stunning mk1 ). i just fancied a change.
i got the jimny yesterday and first thing i did was strip the rear seats , plastic side panels checking for rust.. .i found mild surface rust so this has been treated and painted, , just refitted it all today. then gave the whole cabin a deep clean.
my plans so far are,,,1, fit a 2" lift , using the doughnut spacers and shocker extenders ( £95 )
2, fit 30mm per side wheel spacers ( £80 )
3, probably do something about the exhaust note....( ?? ) the mx5 had straight thru stainless so jimny sounds a bit limp.
any advice on where to buy, what to buy . what to do , what NOT to do, would be gratefuly received.
i will try and post photos as soon as...
regards

Hi ball,
Well done for buying a Jimny. Fun aren't they!
I too went from a sports car to a Jimny. I traded in a Porsche for mine 2 years ago. I loved the Porsche, but my wife hated it. I've kept my Jim virtually standard and use it every day. Somebody will be along soon with suggestions for mods you might want to make.
