I have yet to use my winch to recover myself......used it to pull a Micra petrol full of diesel off it's drive.....and move a powder coating oven out of a garage....It's only a 3000lb winch fits a receiver at the front and spends it's time behind the passengers seat....weighs very little.....I wish I'd got the massively heavy 12000lb model and bolted it to the front to lug around...or not!TomDK wrote: If you have winch and stuff out front, Trail Master diesel springs with comfort shocks. If just a plain standard Jimny without winch, heavy bumper and such, go for normal Trail Master springs with comfort shocks.

TomDK wrote: No matter what. Avoid the trail master 3" springs. They are of same length as the 2" diesel springs, only much stiffer. I have these springs and find them somewhat on the hard side, that is with a twin motor 8274 winch and winch bumper. Also, these springs are not sold with matching shocks.
With the 2" i suppose if i wanted the extra lift in the new year time can just go for say a 3" body lift? Would this work ok?
