At the moment, I wish I hadn't tried to put my Jimny which was a trailer for 3 years back on road.....
I thinking of fitting a sunroof, so I can pour the money in quicker

Steering Damper. I bought one about 18 months ago thinking it would help with the 'death wobble'. It didn't and the steering wheel didn't like to centralise. So I took it off, then fitted new tyres, all good now.

I also installed a steering damper and I am superbly satisfied with it. I did not install it to cure death wobble, but to generally improve the steering system.
The vehicle is now much less "nervous" and twitchy on bad tarmac roads, and the steering wheel vibrations are significantly reduced on rough gravel roads.
Fozzie, perhaps your steering damper was not installed properly so it did not center well. Also, steering damper can not cure death wobble, it can only mask it.
My only regrets are using some non-original spare parts when servicing the vehicle. ALWAYS strive to use original spare parts (or at least proven aftermarket parts), especially where the labor costs of replacing them are significant, time consuming or if its sudden failure can induce the failure of other parts.
Examples of such parts would be tie rod ends, anything in the wheel assembly (wheel bearing, kingpin bearing, CV joint, seals and gaskets ...).
An example story:
A friend who has a Suzuki Samurai from new in 1988 told me that its original prop shaft universal joints lasted approx until early 2000s. After that he used various aftermarket universal joints, and had to replace them after 1-2 years of use every time.
About 5-6 years ago he got fed up with it and bought original Komatsu universal joints for their construction machine, which happened to use the same dimensions as Samurai (but the machine used them for steering system prop shaft).
These joints, priced between aftermarket ones and Suzuki originals, have grease nipples, unlike Suzuki originals which don't. He has not replaced them yet.

I kinda wish I hadn't of modded it so far... it just gets obsessive?
Historically I did the same thing with the Vitara known as Superzuki...
I modify them to the extent that it gets too easy, you just point it where you want to go (mostly)...
The rear airlocker, front LSD and 4.6:1 transfer box get it up / through most obstacles, leaving me just to steer it in the right direction.
I've been out with Suzukis with just a small lift and some decent tyres (and perhaps a rear lockright) that then follow us everywhere, so why mod' to the extent I have?...
