Experience with Smartlock LSD locker? was created by jimnythijs
As the title says, does anyone have experience with Smartlock LSD lockers? Do they work as well as the description says, experience with reliability? I like that it only activates in 4wd and it's a lot cheaper then air lockers so is it a good alternative?

I'm interested to hear this too. I tried to do some research into them and couldn't find out anything at all. From the description, it could be something clever and useful or it could just be a very optimistic description of a lockright style locker.

There is also some confusion over whether it is an LSD or a full locking diff. Unless they have done something very clever you can't have both.

That is the contradiction in their story. They said up to 100% locked, which is a locker. Still it looks like it might be good, particularly if there is "slip" in it as that sounds like it would help CV joints survive the locking action, It is close to £700 once VAT is added so is begining to get close to an ARB price

Agree with Martin.

At that kind of money, forget all about it and get an ARB airlocker. Probably around £750 in continental europe.
