It seems the latest Jimny now comes with Traction Control and stability control.
Does anyone know much on how these work? The Suzuki site, even their global one is rather lacking in detail.
I'm assuming the TCS is off road biased like you'd find on a Defender or Wrangler, i.e. it doesn't kill the throttle off road and will simulate having a locker.
Anyone able to confirm if this is how it works?

From what I have read it is a really basic system and geared towards road use not a virtual axle lock.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

The system just applies a little braking to a spinning wheel to send power to the other wheel.

The TCS on a Defender completely transforms it's capabilities off road. I would hope the Jimny is the same. But it'd be nice to know.

If that's the case, then it is how LR and Jeep do it. I would assume the Jimny is the same. But there just is no mention of it's use off road.Rhinoman wrote: The system just applies a little braking to a spinning wheel to send power to the other wheel.

The difference will be in the application of the technology not in the technology itself.

I have driven the newer LR products off road with the traction control and i dont
like it. You have to attack things much harder, rather than gently feel your way through.
Yes it works but its not a replacement for a difflock in my opinion.
