Quick one
I'm wanting to fit a double din stereo to my 04 Jim. Can I simply remove the coin tray and clock that's currently under the single din slot. Ie does this make it a standard double din space. Or isn't it that simple

Thanks

I did it with a Liana that had essentially the same hole. From memory the hole is big enough but there are no fixings to hold the double DIN unit it, so you need to make something up.

Thanks.
Having a proper double din sized hole is a starter.

For any one interested it's easier than I thought.
Remove the trim and take out the single din radio and it's metal case. Un screw the full two din plastic surround. You will then pull out the clock and tray too. Unscrew these from the surround and you have a two din plastic holder.
You will need to hack saw a plastic lip off but then the surround will take the full two din metal holder and of course it's head unit. The plastic holder all ready has holes so you can bolt it to your metal cage.

If you don't mod the plastic cage then you will have a massive hole.
