Does Land Rover axles fit Jimney? was created by Dirty Rat
Hello All
Just started a new project, a Jimny chassis with a hotrod style pick up cab.
I have heard that some folk fit Land Rover Defender axles and was wondering how true this is and how much of a task it is.
I am a competent mechanic / engineer / bodger and own a fully kitted out workshop.
Have a cracking summer and keep the mud fling high

Anything is possible with enough time and money. It's a matter of weighing up the cost vs benefits of either upgrades to the existing or customised axles from another vehicle. Personal preference for me would be upgraded existing as there's no shortage of suppliers of good quality parts designed specifically for the Jimny and it is less of a potential bodge than making something fit that wasn't ever intended for the application. Ultimately it is your toy and your choice.
