Howdy all. I can only apologise for asking this as I KNOW it's been asked (and answered) many times on here, I can't seem to find the posts though. Anyway, had my Jim in for a service and it needs 4 new tyres. Iv got a 2" lift, the car is a daily driver, should I a) get BF Goodrich ATs or muds? And b) what size will fit? I had 215/75/15 BF MUDs on my last jimny with a 2" lift as that's what I believed was the biggest size I could fit with no hassle. Iv since seen a number of people have gone 235/80/15 (BF again) with a 2" lift and had no problems. Can someone settle this for me once and for all....plus I need to by new tyres ASAP haha.

Thanks in advance

As I read it 215/75/15 are your best bet anything bigger starts to put strain on the rest of your drive train

MUDs or AT's will be up to you what terrain will you be driving the most ?? ;)

How did your last MUDs feel????

Yeah I thought that was the case.
Last MUDs were fine, but it wasn't a daily driver and just a toy. Terrain will be varied, road to lanes, fields, farm yards etc.

I'm pretty sure 235s will rub a lot unless you trim the arches. They will also mess up the gearing enough to make it crap to drive day-to-day. I'd stick with 215s personally. And go for Muds because they are eleventeen % cooler.

Haha, I new you'd say go for muds. You'll be pleased to know I ordered some tonight, local garage wanted £132 a corner but got them for £103 online. So now Iv got a lift kit, brake likes, winch tray, winch, steelies, tyres (when they arrive), snorkel, winch battery, 2nd battery tray and spot lights all waiting to go on :)
