Hey guys me again another quick question I own a 1999 jimny and my bonnet is super heavy due to it being filled with filler (Previous owner doings) and I recently came across a jimny selling for parts I live on a small island called Barbados and these are very hard to find. I was going to buy the bonnet but its from one of the newer models with the hood scoop I was wondering would it still fit or do I have to make adjustments? Please help
thanks
Eric

Hi, if you mean the bonnet from the facelift models from 2013 then it is not a straight swap. Now I am no expert (prefer shopping and doing my nails) but the earlier one curves down to the bumper level whereas the later one is a conventional flat bonnet that has a separate grille attached between the headlights. The techys' on here would be able to confirm but suspect you would need a different bumper + grille+ boneet catch (at least). I doubt if the hinges have changed though.

Used to love staying in Speightstown by the way.

I think that the wings need to be changed as well, I seem to recall seeing a picture of a 'panel' filling the gap inside the engine compartment caused by the new wings.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
