Ford are just as bad on my smax hand brake the cable from the button to the release snapped and they wanted £160 plus for a complete new hand break!! I fixed.it with 99p bracelet wire

I started off high and worked my way down ever since
Replied by gilburton on topic Gear stick bush needed
Just had the same problem.
The bush is not available separately.
If it wears or falls off the gears still work but the gear stick has a much sloppier feel.
No idea why it is not available separately as it just appears to press on??
That's another VVT box design flaw
I did consider slipping a piece of tubing over the ball but I don't suppose it would last?
