I got new inlet and exhaust gaskets and re-used everything else. There are a few gaskets for the water pump and other things that it might be worth changing.
Swapping the parts over from one engine to the other took longer than I expected but otherwise it was all fairly straight forward.

As busta says (he told me what to get
)
I got my gaskets from Suzuki as I wanted the right ones and decent quality. The oil filter screw was £8 from them IIRC

I have a Liana throttle body spare that you could swap the iac valve onto from the jimny. They are supposed to be sightly wider diameter.

I'll see how it goes with the standard parts as I was thinking of simplicity and ease of swap.
Once it's up and running I'll see if I need to unleash a few more horses :laugh:
Re gaskets I presume you bought M13a ones rather than the M16a ??
I've just been out looking at the Jimny a bit closer just to see what needs doing. Apart from all the plugs and various pipes/hoses it looks fairly straightforward.
It's years since I've done an engine swap though as these days it's much harder with emissions/laws and,of course, engines tend to last a lot longer but this swap seems one of the easier.

Get normal Jimny gaskets, although I suspect the Swift ones are the same.
Yeah it's pretty straight forward. Access to some of the bolts down near the starter is the trickiest bit. I found supporting the chassis and letting the axle hang gave a bit more room to swing a ratchet.
